Limestone Country 2011

Well, where has time gone? No really where has it gone? I remember being taught in one of my photography lectures that time is the most important factor to photography, but this really take the biscuit. I had so many plans for this years summer but of course things always get in the way and the matter of spending all of my money on a new large format field camera. I could not resist and I regret nothing. So I have managed to arrange a couple of day to be spent in the Yorkshire Dales with my Sherlock (Victoria). Where I am hoping that I will be able to photograph Malham Cove. This is something that I have wanted to do for over 2-3 years now, it has to be done.

Before we enter the Yorkshire Dales we are stopping off at the National Media Museum in Bradford. Yes, of course we are going to screen Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II again. I have been a visitor to this museum before and it just over powered me. There is so much to do in so little time. The building is just incredible, not to mention all of the exhibition and workshops inside. I am hoping that Vicky will enjoy it as much as I did. She will either hate it because it will be busy or she will love it just like I do (I know her game).

I dont know what the Yorkshire dales will bring. I am hoping to climb up to the top of the Cove but we will have to see what the weather is going to be like really. If not then I would like to try and document some of the village life in Malham and of course the land itself. We will just have to see I guess. But at least when I go back to uni and they ask me "what did you do over summer then Boffin?" I can say that I have been here there and not just to my local pub.
